Terms and Conditions

Trez AI is a self-monitoring wellness tool designed to help users gently reduce hair-pulling habits (including behaviors associated with trichotillomania), track progress over time, and celebrate personal wins. The App uses AI-assisted photo analysis to generate a "Trez score" and personalized insights based on weekly hair scans.

IMPORTANT: Trez AI is NOT a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. The Service is intended for informational, educational, and self-monitoring purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician, dermatologist, mental health professional, or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical or psychological condition.

You represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old.

If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be fully responsible for all activities conducted using the Service.

To use most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain and promptly update your account information.
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials.
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content at our sole discretion.

a) Free Trial. Trez AI offers a 3-day free tracking period that allows limited access to features without a paid subscription. During this period, a usage indicator is displayed in the App. After the free period ends, continued access to full features requires a paid subscription.

b) Paid Subscriptions. The Service offers auto-renewing subscriptions processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or RevenueCat. By starting a subscription, you authorize the applicable app store to charge your payment method at the rate and frequency disclosed at purchase.

c) Auto-Renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

d) Managing and Canceling. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Uninstalling the App does not cancel your subscription.

e) Refunds. All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by law or by the applicable app store's refund policy. Refund requests must be submitted to the app store through which the subscription was purchased.

f) Account Deletion and Subscriptions. Deleting your Trez AI account does NOT automatically cancel or refund your subscription. Subscriptions are tied to your Apple ID or Google Play account, not your Trez AI account. If you create a new Trez AI account using the same Apple ID or Google Play account, you may be able to restore your existing entitlements using the "Restore Purchases" feature. If you use a different store account, you may need to purchase a new subscription.

g) Price Changes. We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will take effect following notice to you, and will apply to the next billing cycle after the change.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation.
• Upload content (including photos) that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Upload photos of any person other than yourself without their explicit consent.
• Upload photos of minors.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use the Service to develop competing products or train competing machine learning models.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems.

a) Your Content. The Service allows you to submit photos (hair scans), notes, mood entries, goals, and other information ("User Content"). You retain all rights in your User Content.

b) License to Us. By submitting User Content, you grant Trez AI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, analyze, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service to you. We will not use your identifiable photos for marketing without your explicit consent.

c) Responsibility. You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of submitting it. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant the license above.

The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze photos and generate scores, insights, and suggestions. You understand and agree that:

• AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent.
• The "Trez score" is a relative, AI-generated estimate for self-monitoring and is not a clinical measurement.
• You should not rely on AI outputs for medical, psychological, or safety-critical decisions.
• Results may vary between scans due to lighting, angle, image quality, and other factors.

The App may request the following device permissions:

• Camera: to take hair scan photos.
• Photo Library: to select existing photos for scans or sharing.
• Notifications: to remind you about scans, trial status, and progress.

You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. Revoking permissions may limit functionality.

The Service, including all software, design, text, graphics, logos, and content (excluding User Content), is the exclusive property of Trez AI and its licensors, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

The Service integrates with third-party providers, including but not limited to Supabase (authentication and database), RevenueCat (subscription management), Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and AI model providers for photo analysis. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location.
• Any errors or defects will be corrected.
• The Service is free of viruses or other harmful components.
• Results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable.

TREZ AI IS A WELLNESS TOOL, NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE. WE MAKE NO CLAIMS REGARDING THE DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT, CURE, OR PREVENTION OF ANY MEDICAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL CONDITION.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TREZ AI, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; OR (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Trez AI and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including attorney's fees), arising from: (i) your use of the Service; (ii) your violation of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right; or (iv) any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party.

a) By You. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Personal data will be deleted following account deletion, within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

b) By Us. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful to the Service or other users.

c) Effect of Termination. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability) shall survive.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. If a revision is material, we will provide notice through the App or by email. By continuing to use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, at our discretion, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection laws.

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

• These Terms are between you and Trez AI only, not with Apple.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
• In the event of any failure to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price.
• Apple is not responsible for any product claims, warranties, or intellectual property disputes relating to the App.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

If you downloaded the App from Google Play, you acknowledge that your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Trez AI regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
